Longstanding KO Client Brandfolder Acquired by Smartsheet

KO client Brandfolder, a leader in digital asset management, was recently acquired by Smartsheet, the leading collaborative work management platform, for $155 million.

The acquisition will combine Brandfolder’s and Smartsheet’s capabilities to create a dynamic solution that enables enterprise-wide content workflows, allowing organizations to work more efficiently and effectively.

Since shortly after Brandfolder’s formation in 2012, KO has advised the company on corporate and commercial matters, including financings, commercial contracts and agreements and other business matters.

“Since our formation, KO Law Firm has been a long-term partner and trusted advisor for Brandfolder on strategic corporate and complex commercial legal matters,” said Steve Baker, President of Brandfolder. “KO’s business-focused approach and expertise were instrumental to our success over the last eight years and to the closing of our acquisition.”

The KO deal team was led by partner Kevin Gibson and included partner Matt McKinney, attorneys Matt Burns, Ryan Sykora, Keenan Weatherford, Cory Helton and Chris Achatz as well as corporate paralegal Krystal Rushton and contracts manager Julie Salyer.
