KO Expands Corporate and Commercial Practices with Three New Hires

Koenig, Oelsner, Taylor, Schoenfeld & Gaddis PC (KO Law Firm) has expanded its corporate and commercial practices with the addition of attorneys Ryan Ivey, Logan DeSouza and Charu Ganesh. These three attorneys bring a breadth of experience, including complex commercial transactions, data privacy, M&A, corporate governance and commercial contracts.

Ryan Ivey: Commercial Transactions Across Life Sciences, Supply Chain and Technology
Ryan represents companies in complex commercial transactions and related matters. His industry experience includes life sciences, healthcare, software, manufacturing, and professional services. Ryan’s transactional expertise includes clinical trial agreements, master services agreements, research and development agreements, technology license agreements, data processing agreements, and strategic partnership agreements.
Prior to joining KO, Ryan worked in the corporate division of a regional law firm, focusing on complex commercial transactions in life sciences, supply chain, and technology. He has also served as in-house counsel for multiple companies, ranging from emerging biotechnology start-ups to a global contract research organization.
Logan DeSouza: Business Transactions Across Government, Technology and Financial Services
Logan’s practice focuses on business transactions and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, structuring joint ventures and partnerships, and corporate governance matters. He has advised public and private clients operating in a broad array of industries, including government contracts, media, technology, telecommunications, cannabis, consumer products and financial services.
Logan also spent time as a legal secondee in the private equity transaction group at Apollo Global Management, Inc. Prior to joining KO, Logan practiced primarily in the New York office of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
Charu Ganesh: Commercial Contracts Across Automotive, Retail, Insurance and Technology Sectors
Charu is experienced in representing domestic and international corporations in a number of industries, including those in the automotive, retail, marketing, insurance, and technology sectors. Charu drafts and negotiates commercial contracts for matters such as software licensing, consulting and professional services, non-disclosure, marketing, brand collaboration, and more.
Charu also has a background in data privacy and skillfully navigates the intricacies of the rapidly-evolving data privacy and cybersecurity regulatory landscape to help her clients develop policies and procedures that comply with international and domestic privacy laws. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). Prior to joining KO, Charu was a member of the data privacy group of a midsize law firm.
Charu earned her undergraduate degree in political science from Michigan State University and received her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School. Charu is admitted to practice in Michigan and is not yet admitted to practice in Colorado.
KO’s Latest Hires Expand on Previous Growth in Late 2020
KO recently expanded its corporate practice in December 2020 with the addition of attorney Michael Wysolmerski. Michael brings corporate expertise from an international law firm to KO’s team, which has grown more than 30 percent in the last two years. Prior to joining KO, Michael practiced in the Colorado office of Cooley LLP and the New York office of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
Michael’s practice focuses on corporate and financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, structuring joint ventures and partnerships, and corporate governance matters. Michael has advised clients operating in a variety of industries, including software, consumer products, financial services, medical devices and fashion.
