Ryan is a transactional attorney who represents companies in complex commercial transactions and related matters. Ryan’s industry experience includes life sciences, healthcare, software, manufacturing, and professional services. Ryan’s transactional expertise includes clinical trial agreements, master services agreements, sponsored research agreements, material transfer agreements, technology license agreements, and strategic partnership agreements.

Ryan also has experience in data privacy matters, including data protection agreements, website terms of use, privacy policies, and data mapping. Ryan helps clients understand risks to their business and develop appropriate strategies to meet regulatory requirements in the collection, transfer, and storage of personal data.

Prior to joining KO, Ryan worked in the corporate division of a regional law firm, focusing on complex commercial transactions in life sciences, supply chain, and technology. He has also served as in-house counsel for multiple companies, ranging from emerging biotechnology start-ups to a global contract research organization. Ryan leverages these diverse experiences for the benefit of his clients in achieving their business objectives in creative, practical, and efficient ways. Clients consistently comment that Ryan drives valuable results for them through his approachable demeanor, growth mindset, and ability to distill complex issues into their basic elements. Ryan received his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law; he is licensed to practice in both North Carolina (his native state) and Colorado.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys golfing and spending quality time with his amazing wife, Kellie. He and Kellie also love taking their bernedoodle, Sophie, and maltipoo, Neville, on walks in the beautiful outdoors of Colorado.
