Pluto Biosciences Seed Round

KO Client Pluto Biosciences Raises $3.7M Seed Round

KO client Pluto Biosciences, a cutting-edge life sciences software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, recently announced the closing of a $3.7 million seed round. The investment will expand Pluto’s innovative, web-based, computational biology platform that empowers researchers to analyze and visualize biological data.

“Pluto is breaking down the obstacles that have traditionally prevented the widespread use of computational biology, including the need for compute infrastructure and black box ‘pipelines’, and empowering scientists to play an active role in their scientific discoveries,” said Rani Powers, PhD, CEO and Founder of Pluto in the company’s press release.

The round was led by Silverton Partners, Texas’ most active and longest standing venture capital investor. KO partner Kevin Gibson led the deal team with support from John Kyed, Brad Schoenfeld, and Sara Shelly.
