Superplastic Multi-Part Amazon Deal

KO Client Superplastic Signs Multi-Part Deal with Amazon

KO client Superplastic, creator of ‘synthetic celebrities’ Janky and Guggimon, recently announced that it has signed a multi-part deal with Amazon that includes an animated comedy series with Amazon Studios, a first-look arrangement for additional projects, and a financing led by Amazon’s Alexa Fund.

According to Superplastic’s founder and CEO Paul Budnitz, “Crucial to the deal was Superplastic’s continued control over its characters and other intellectual property.” TechCrunch says the deal underscores the increasingly blurred lines between media and technology today.

KO partner Jon Taylor and attorney Elizabeth Ho represented Superplastic in the financing. Get more coverage about the deal in TechCrunch, Forbes, Variety and more.
