KO Client Column Acquires Modulist

KO client Column Software, the fastest-growing public notice software platform, recently announced that it reached an agreement with Forum Communications in late 2023 to acquire Modulist, a software company focused on celebrations, obituaries, and announcements.

Column has deployed its software platform across more than 500 newspapers and publications to facilitate the transaction of public notices and legal ads with tens of thousands of law firms, government agencies, and businesses, since the company’s launch in 2020.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Forum Communications in the acquisition of Modulist,” said Jake Seaton, CEO of Column, in the company’s press release. “From our first conversation, it was clear that both teams shared the same core values and a mission to provide excellent software for categories of the media business that have historically been underserved and overlooked.”

The KO deal team included Jon Taylor, Dan Fredrickson, Ryan Ivey, and Elizabeth Ho. Learn more in the press release and in Editor & Publisher.
