KO Law PC (KO) is seeking a Staff Accountant with 5+ years of experience to join our finance team.  This position reports to the CFO and can be based out of our Denver or Boulder office.

• Responsible for the accounts receivable function of the firm, including appropriate handling of client trust funds
• Respond to client and attorney inquiries regarding client billing and payments
• Responsible for the accounts payable function of the firm, including issuing 1099s
• Responsible for general ledger account reconciliations
• Responsible for credit card reconciliations
• Responsible for calculating local sales use tax for Denver and Boulder offices
• Assist with financial reporting and data collection
• Assist with payroll review and reconciliation
• Assist with expense budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with review of annual tax returns
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting principles and procedures
• Assist with other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a law firm or other professional services firm
• Payroll and tax experience preferred
• Expert knowledge of Excel
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Strong mathematical, accounting, and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Customer service orientated; can interact professionally with staff, attorneys and clients
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with flexibility and sense of humor

$75,000 – $120,000 annual salary based on experience. Quality performance bonus eligibility.  Other KO benefits include:
