Melissa Mellen Promoted to Of Counsel at KO

KO Law Firm has announced the promotion of Melissa Mellen to Of Counsel, effective January 1, 2022. In her new role, Melissa will continue to serve clients as a senior attorney, while also participating in KO’s partner meetings, helping to guide the firm’s strategy. Her practice focuses on general corporate and business law.

Melissa represents KO’s clients in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, company formations and other general corporate matters. Melissa has also taken on a number of other roles at the firm, providing mentorship, organizing events and running its human resources function through a time of unprecedented growth.

Prior to joining KO, Melissa practiced in the Palo Alto, California, office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Melissa graduated cum laude from University of California, Hastings College of the Law where she was a senior articles editor of the Hastings Law Journal. Melissa also received a BS in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Pepperdine University.
