KO Law PC (KO) is seeking an attorney with four to seven years of experience in credit finance transactions and corporate transactions (with at least three years of experience specifically in credit finance) at a top national or international firm. This position will likely be 75% credit finance and 25% other corporate transactions but does not specifically require experience outside of credit finance. This is a great opportunity for an attorney trained in traditional credit finance looking to broaden their practice. This position can be based out of our Denver or Boulder office.

Finance Attorney Job Description
Duties
- Review, edit and draft primary loan documents for secured and unsecured credit facilities, representing primarily borrowers, including acquisition financing, general working capital facilities, and venture debt facilities, opposite financial institutions and fund lenders.
- Prepare legal opinions and interface with opinion committee
- Advise on Article 9 of the UCC and attachment and perfection strategies for security interests in all common collateral types.
- Serve as lead non-partner attorney on leanly staffed deals.
- Assist with other general corporate transactions after appropriate training by KO and with our support, including equity financings, M&A transactions, and general corporate counseling
Skills Required
- JD from a top-tier law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Colorado or able to either waive into practice in Colorado or apply non-expired UBE scores for admission to practice law in Colorado.
- 4 – 7 years of work experience in a top national or international firm.
- Experience in corporate law beyond finance or an eagerness to broaden your practice and demonstration of ability to learn new areas of law and new skills quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal skills; adept at communicating complex issues concisely and effectively with attorneys and clients.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented with an outstanding work ethic; should be able to independently manage and successfully prioritize numerous projects under deadline pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills; can interact professionally with staff, attorneys and clients.
- Ability to identify legal issues and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong sense of ownership over projects and ability to improve processes incrementally and proactively.
- Comfort with taking direction from others on a legal team.
- Fluency with typical law firm technology stack and ability to learn new technology efficiently.
Attributes Desired
- Experience with venture debt preferred but not required.
- Experience with some contracts for general corporate transactions outside of credit finance preferred but not required.
- Entrepreneurial mentality.
- Curiosity, flexibility and sense of humor.
- Interests outside of work.
Hours Expectation, Pay Range, and Benefits
Base salary ranges from $155,000 to $185,000 depending upon experience.
Target qualifying hours (billable plus certain non-billable) of 1500 hours, with quality performance and hour bonus eligibility beginning at 1300 qualifying hours, with significant business development bonus opportunities for client generation. Other KO benefits include:
