Corporate Attorney Job Description

KO Law PC (KO) is seeking an attorney with five to eight years of experience with corporate transactions at a top national or international firm. This position can be based out of our Denver or Boulder office.

Duties
  • Review, edit and draft definitive documents and related ancillary documents for corporate transactions, including early-stage equity financings, growth equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with minimal supervision.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters.
  • Collaborate with clients and subject matter experts to ensure that corporate transactions are aligned with business objectives.
Skills Required
  • JD from a top-tier law school.
  • Licensed (or willingness to become licensed) to practice law in Colorado.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a top national or international firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; adept at communicating complex issues concisely and effectively with attorneys and clients; excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with an outstanding work ethic; should be able to independently manage and successfully prioritize numerous projects under deadline pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; can interact professionally with staff, attorneys and clients.
  • Ability to identify legal issues and exercise sound judgment.
  • Possesses strong sense of ownership over projects and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
  • Comfortable with taking direction from others on the legal team.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with flexibility and sense of humor.
Compensation & Benefits

$170,000 – $200,000 annual salary based on experience. Quality performance and hour bonus eligibility begin at 1300 billable hours with a target of 1500 billable hours.  We also provide significant business development bonus opportunities for client generation. Other KO benefits include:
