John is a corporate partner whose practice focuses on corporate and business transactions and general corporate and business law, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, company formations, public offerings, strategic alliances and general corporate representation. John’s mergers and acquisitions experience includes the representation of public and private companies on a broad array of transactions with aggregate deal values in excess of $2 billion. In addition, John has represented numerous private companies on a wide variety of issues, including formation, shareholder agreements, federal and state securities law compliance, commercial contracts, employment agreements, stock option plans and other related matters. John began his legal career working in Denver for Faegre & Benson, an international law firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. John spent over five years specializing in mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance issues at Faegre & Benson. John graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the Journal of Law Reform. He received his B.A. in political science from the University of Colorado, where he was a Boettcher Scholar, was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with highest distinction.
