Corey is a transactional attorney who advises clients on a broad range of commercial matters. Corey’s practice focuses primarily on life sciences, technology, software and SaaS, manufacturing and a broad range of professional services. Corey also has experience negotiating a wide spectrum of commercial endeavors, which include retail and marketing, eCommerce, energy and aerospace. Corey’s transactional experience includes master services agreements, clinical trial agreements, sponsored research agreements, material transfer agreements, and all manner of license, consulting, and collaboration agreements.
Prior to joining KO, Corey worked as senior in-house counsel for a large, global contract research organization. In his capacity as in-house counsel, Corey provided legal support and advice concerning clinical trial management in U.S. and large-scale global studies, with a core focus on drug development opportunities in the phase II-IV clinical trial space. Corey’s prior legal experience also includes over a decade of extensive litigation and appellate experience in both state and federal courts.
With Corey’s broad range of experience, he is often utilized by his clients in providing counsel and strategic advice over many of their day-to-day legal and operational matters. Corey provides a practical, risk-based approach in assisting his clients to achieve their business objectives.
Corey received his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He is licensed to practice in North Carolina, Colorado, and Massachusetts.
In his free time, Corey enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsey and his two daughters, Grace and Hattie. Corey is a fitness enthusiast, and also enjoys woodworking and all manner of culinary adventures.
