KKO client Fidelity Comtech Inc. was acquired by Trimble

Shortly after the new year, KKO client Fidelity Comtech Inc., (FCI) was acquired by Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB). FCI developed and commercialized a patented adaptive technology that optimizes coverage in wireless networks through coordinated small-cell beamforming (the ability to enhance and focus radio frequencies through the use of multiple low-power smart antennas). The firm’s hardware and software solutions are particularly useful in robust industrial environments which have long been resistant to reliable wireless coverage. The acquisition by Trimble will provide additional vertical industries to deploy FCI’s unique technology and products, as well as a global footprint and powerful brand.
