Matt Carrier

Matt is a transactional attorney who advises clients on a broad range of commercial matters centering around the life sciences industry. Matt has years of experience drafting and negotiating a wide array of agreements in pharmaceutical research and development, including clinical trial agreements, sponsored research agreements, master services agreements, and all manner of other agreements required to meet the business objectives of his clients.

Prior to joining KO Law, Matt spent almost a decade in-house with some of the largest contract research organizations in the world. In this capacity, Matt provided legal advice, support, oversight, planning, and management for numerous large global clinical trials. Before this, Matt spent years in the litigation division of a regional law firm, where he focused on representing clients in administrative hearings and state courts and advised large multinational clients in the avoidance and mitigation of risk.

Matt graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee School of Law. He is licensed to practice in North Carolina.

Away from work, Matt enjoys spending time with his brilliant and beautiful wife, Mackenzie, and his two wonderful sons, Davis and Beckett.  Matt and his family love traveling, boating, cooking and exploring the beautiful area of coastal North Carolina where they live.
