Jake Stephens

Jake is a corporate attorney whose practice focuses on business transactions and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters in a variety of industries.  Prior to joining KO, Jake practiced in the Denver office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, where he advised clients on complex mergers and acquisitions in the private company space. Jake received a B.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas and earned his law degree from the University of Colorado Law School.

In addition to his legal practice, Jake is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. Jake currently serves as the co-chair of the Colorado Pledge to Diversity 2025 Summer Program.

Outside of his professional life, Jake is passionate about creative writing, enjoys playing videogames, and loves hiking with his Boston Terrier, Lucy.
