A Look at How Local Startup Havenly Helped Bring KO’s New Office to Life

In 2013, Lee Mayer started Havenly as a solution to her own design challenge. After relocating to a Denver home from a tiny New York City apartment, she needed a house full of furniture, but had no time to select and source items that would create the cohesive look she wanted. Since then, the company has grown exponentially and has helped thousands of homeowners and apartment dwellers find inspiration for their perfect room design.

Although Havenly typically works with home and living space designs, their team was also able to help KO quickly hone in on the perfect custom design for the new Denver office lobby. The Denver-based startup uses technology to connect customers with trained, professional interior designers who take time to get to know each client and the space they’re designing, before preparing a custom interior design plan, including 3-D visualizations and suggestions on integrating furnishings into the space.

From initial online surveys about design preferences, to calls with the KO team, a Havenly designer developed a custom design that brought to life KO’s unique culture and style in less than two weeks. Once finished, KO had a design they loved and a shopping list of personalized furniture and accessories to make the new KO space come to life.

From a client perspective, KO partner Kevin Gibson is eager to support Havenly’s success. “We’ve been working with Havenly since 2014 on a variety of things, including entity formation, financing, various commercial contracts and general corporate governance,” Gibson said. “Lee and her team are fantastic to work with and it’s been fun watching them grow.”

Havenly recently raised $12.5 million in Series B funding led by Foundry Group with participation from Industry Ventures, Chicago Ventures and Kickstart Fund.
