Koenig, Oelsner, Taylor, Schoenfeld & Gaddis PC (KO Law Firm) has announced the expansion of its commercial and data privacy and security practices with the addition of attorney and data privacy expert Erin Locker.
Erin joins KO Law Firm following several years at two international law firms. Erin’s practice focuses on data privacy, cybersecurity and data protection. She helps companies at every stage navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of global privacy regulation and develop strategic approaches to compliance. Erin counsels clients on a range of data privacy and protection issues involving product design and development, digital marketing and advertising, technology transactions, cyber risk management and preparedness, data breach response, mergers and acquisitions, financings and public offerings.
“As businesses face the complexities of global privacy regulation and compliance and navigate working remotely and digitally now more than ever, Erin’s data privacy expertise and international law firm experience will be invaluable,” said Ben Oelsner, partner at KO. “She will be a trusted business advisor to our clients and she is a strong addition to the firm.”
Erin is one of several experienced attorneys and team members to join KO Law Firm recently. In response to the growing demand for experienced, business-focused law firms that prioritize long-term relationships and a pragmatic approach, KO Law Firm has grown more than 30 percent in the last two years.
Prior to joining KO, Erin was a member of the cyber/data/privacy team at Cooley LLP and also spent several years in the data protection practice group of a large global law firm in its Denver and London offices. Erin earned her undergraduate degrees in journalism and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina School of Law. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals, along with three other attorneys at the firm.
