KO Distillery Client Wins International Award Ahead of Colorado June Opening

May 22, 2018 – KO client Dry Land Distillers, a Longmont-based craft distillery that produces unique, Colorado-inspired spirits using local and indigenous ingredients, was recently awarded the bronze medal at the international London Spirits Competition. Dry Land’s Prickly Pear Spirit earned the award based on drinkability, value, packaging and design.

The KO team, led by John Gaddis and Matt McKinney, has worked with Dry Land Distillers since its inception on all of its startup legal work.

“Working with John Gaddis and Matt McKinney at KO has been a great experience. They are not just great lawyers, they are thoughtful and – most important – highly ethical business advisors,” said Nels Wroe, CEO of Dry Land. “They sincerely care about us and our business, and I’m proud to have them as partners to the Dry Land team.”

Dry Land Distillers is currently in production, and their tasting room in the heart of downtown Longmont will be opening in early June. The tasting room will be family-friendly, with an array of handcrafted cocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails, and handmade sodas.
