As part of KO Law Firm’s year-round commitment to giving back to our community, we celebrated this year’s Colorado Gives Day with employee donations and firm matching funds for more than two dozen nonprofit and charitable organizations.
2022 marked the 13th annual Colorado Gives Day, a 24-hour initiative dedicated to encouraging philanthropy throughout Colorado. This year, the movement raised more than $53 million for more than 3,000 participating organizations across the state. The organizations were also eligible for part of the $1.4 million incentive fund, provided by the Community First Foundation, FirstBank, and other community members, that is proportionally allocated to each nonprofit that receives donations.
KO’s annual participation in this event augments our year-round corporate social responsibility. Many of our team members routinely volunteer their time and expertise through board service, volunteerism, sponsorships, pro bono legal services, and more.
This Colorado Gives Day, our employees contributed to organizations that support a range of causes, including at-risk women and children, food security, people experiencing homelessness, education and the arts, emergency family assistance, animal well-being, healthcare, and more. Each of the following organizations received an employee donation as well as KO matching funds:
- A Woman’s Work
- ACLU of Colorado
- Adoption Options
- Alzheimer’s Association
- Boys & Girls Club of Denver
- Broomfield FISH
- Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation
