KO Celebrates an Evening With Clients and Friends at 13th Annual Poker Party

It comes as no surprise that many people with great business minds are also quite adept at poker. From the art of reading the table, to taking calculated risks, poker has long been a favorite game for many of KO’s team members. Last month, KO hosted its 13^th annual KO Poker Party as a night to celebrate and thank clients. This year, more than 150 clients, employees, and friends gathered for an evening of fun and “friendly” competition.

“It was really an idea born out the desire to celebrate our clients in a unique and fun way,” said KO Partner, Jon Taylor. “Many of us at KO were already big poker players, and a few of the partners had actually been using poker as a great networking tool when we came up with the concept.”

It’s a fun night for poker newbies and seasoned pros alike. Everyone is given a name card with their name and a nickname, as a way to help lighten the mood even further. Over the course of nearly five hours, players battled for the chance to be named this year’s champion, winning prizes every time a KO team member was eliminated, with cash prizes awarded to the players who made it to the final table. Ultimately, Michael Gellman won the coveted KO bracelet this year after outlasting everyone else at the final table.

Guests were treated to a fun evening of food, drinks and entertainment, including live music from Gora Gora Orkestar, who performed for the second straight year.
